Material Remains
Wellington 2013
Annaliese Murrell
An examination of deterioration and loss with the methodic erosion of domestic furniture into nothing but a pile of wood chips and shavings.
Annaliese Murrell is a graduate of Spatial Design at Massey University and works as a professional interior designer. Her recent studies of deconstructed and reconstructed furniture items have defined new directions in her work – where functional items become imbued with meaning through their poetic transformation.
