IN CONSTRUCTION
WELLINGTON 2014
In 2014,The Performance Arcade emerged from the activity of the city as a ‘work site’ - where actions, labour and construction accumulates meaning. Within the temporary architecture of shipping containers, scaffold walkways and veils of netting it is possible to discover a unique range of live art and installation works. Spilling out into the fabric of the city, these encounters seek to examine alternate ways of presenting art, negotiating new relationships with audiences, constantly in a state of taking form and making ready. The assembly of physical materials and the assembly of spectators becomes one in this space of live construction.
