Following from the 2011 STAB commission RISE this group investigate the role wine plays in the foundation and formation of culture. An action /process that starts within the container begins to exit this space and wind and weave beyond its space onto the waterfront and into the city.

Celebrating its 10th birth- day in 2013, Java has created and staged 14 new works and has performed to over 70,000 people NZ. In 2012 Java premiered Back of the Bus in Australia at the world’s second biggest Fringe Festival in Adelaide, ranking 5th best out of 923 shows. In late 2012 Java returned to Australia to perform this work in Perth, followed by Mackay Festival of Arts in July 2013.
Thomas Press and Meg Rollandi have exhibiited in The Performance Aracde 2011 and The Performance Arcade 2013.
