This performance installation examines lines between the generation of choreography and the performance of dance. Can creation also be performance? Are these the same thing? Who decides what is performance? Does the artist make this choice? Is a dancer instantly a performer once someone begins watching them? For the Footnote ChoreoCo. season, Marinkovich works with a cast of dancers to examine these interests: working with the waterfront environment, the container space, and referencing The Garden of Earthly Delights painting by Hieronymous Bosch.
