The Perplexity of Growth or Stagnation
Wellington 2015
CV Peterson
Painted roses crawl, grow, and extend from the container. The ever-growing work breaks the seal of this space and enters the public realm while the creator stays confined, continuing their repetitive motions. These motions bring meditation at times, but also strain the mind and body. Life, growth, decay, and the desire for proof of existence are all examined as natural elements ceaselessly erode and decay the artist’s labour.
