Hello Pigeons
Wellington 2016
Kedron Parker and Adam Ben-Dror
We call Wellington our home, but so do a lot of other species, as part of a complex urban ecology that is woven into pipes, cement streets, and towers made of glass, steel and brick.
While admirers of the pigeon are few and far between, its history is in fact interlaced with that of human civilisation. The pigeon boasts a fascinating range of talents and characteristics, as well as a remarkable loyalty towards its mate and its home.
Hello Pigeons is a performance in which Wellingtonians will have the opportunity to gain new insights on the omnipresent pigeon - and actually meet one, hold it, and let it go - upon which it flies home.
