Reflecting on how the works selected for the Arcade interrelate, Instant Replay creates juxtapositions and slippages between the sounds, images and themes of these performances. There will be no pre-recorded content - the artist enters with a blank canvas, and all sound and projected content will be created out of what is seen and heard at the Performance Arcade – negotiating with other artists to ensure that all artworks are represented in some capacity in the mix. Over the duration of the Arcade, more and more samples and snippets will be captured and manipulated, and the audiovisual scape will become more dense and complex.
