Daniel James (aka Dan Untitled) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Wellington. His work traverses audio and video, robotics, and interactive electronics. Career highlights include a human scale robot installed at Prague Quadrennial 2015, networked (NZ/UK) audiovisual performances at Museum of Modern Art Oxford and Goldsmiths College (University of London), co-curating the multi-city UpStage festivals of online performance for three years, and co-producing the open source film project Stray Cinema (London and Barcelona). Locally in New Zealand he has recently mapped projections onto a heritage building at MOTAT, and presented an interactive anaglyph 3D artwork at Digital Art Live (Auckland). Dan holds a PhD in Fine Arts specialising in audiovisual remix performance.
