This peformance of sonic art is just one interpretation of the future of music. Drawing on the early pioneers of experimental music such as Pierre Scaeffer, emerging with his French tradition of sonic art known as Musique Concrète. And out of this also emerges some of the early attempts to illustrate graphic scores, Schaeffer's 'Typomorphology' which was then later adapted as 'Spectromorphology' by New Zealand sonic artist Denis Smalley. Sonic arts is the attempt to hack into traditional western music and also the traditional musical score. The tesla coil is a sound making sculpture, the composer attempts to control its power as best he can. It is not so easily tamed.
