Olivia Mahood, Poppy Serano
Five hundred apples are strung from the ceiling for passers-by to pick. Piece by piece the fruit is consumed, transformed from an image of Eden into a tangle of hanging frames and discarded cores below.
Olivia is a performer and multidisciplinary artist working across film, performance art, and participatory installation. She is a graduate of Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School.
Poppy is a performance designer and graduate of Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School. She works across live art, music video, dance, film and theatre. She was the 2016 recipient of Wellington Theatre Award for Set Designer of the year.
Olivia and Poppy collaborate under the name O+P works. They are interested in creating immediate engaging live experiences in accessible public spaces for a broad, multifarious audience. Previous works include ‘Sense of a Stranger’ - The Performance Arcade, Expressions Gallery (2018), Fruits from the same tree - Festival of Work in Development (2018), Exchange of care - Festival of Work in Development (2018), It’s as if you’re watching the tide go out - Festival of Work in Development (2018) and Boss of an office - Festival of Work in Development (2016).
