LOOK AT ME, I AM NOT THE ENEMY
I am an immigrant.
A home is a home - no one can replace your home.
I invite you to join me.
An interactive art installation about power against immigrants and people without homes. At borders around the world children are being separated from their parents and migrant families are being held in a large cages, driven away from their homes by conflict and disaster, and lured along by the prospects of a new life. In this new work the artist builds her own cage behind a golden door, and invites passers by to spend time in the space. Time and silence has a voice, and in this work the cage begins to speak about layers of involvement and responsibility for current global crises.
