Sam Trubridge is the artistic director of The Performance Arcade, and a artist who works between performance art, directing and designing theatre, and curatorial projects. Across these outputs he explores a versatile and fluid approach to art making - informed by liquid spaces, coastal environments, and states of precarity. Last year he has presented hi own performance art walk in The Prague Quadrennial and graduated with a PhD from Massey Unviersity College of Creative Arts. This year he will be presenting the Aotearoa New Performance Festival in New York City, and touring a new dance theatre work to Wellington, New York, and Hastings.

William Trubridge is an 18x world-record breaking freediver. His current world record is for a 102m dive in the No Fins category - an event that was supported by Steinlager and broadcast around the world in 2016. He runs the Vertical Blue freedive school and the Vertical Blue freediving competition in Long Island, The Bahamas - described by NY Times as 'The Wimbledon of Freediving'. In 2017 William published his autobiography 'Oxygen' and in 2019 was part of the documentary 'Water Baby' that featured the birth of his daughter with actress/model Sachiko Fukumoto.
