Enjoy a moment of joy while you wait for the green light with The Crosswalk Theatre - hilarious, magical, goofy skits that play out in just fifteen seconds across ordinary pedestrian crossings around the CBD. Witness the street turn into an Olympic swimming pool, a spontaneous wedding or perhaps you’ll be caught up in a nail-biting epic cross-country race. Starring Sabrina Martin and William Duignan with magical costumes and props by Victoria Gridley. They’re tiny scenes that pack a big punch. Brought to you by Hugo Grrrl’s Gigs.

Victoria Gridley is a Aussie in New Zealand who enjoys changing the face of the costume world. She is a maker and designer of costume for theatre, ballet, drag and movies. You may have seen her works throughout her journeys at the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Weta Workshop or through the Glitter Garden and Princess Boy Wonder.

William Duignan is an actor, musician, writer, and designer from Wellington, New Zealand. As an actor, William’s credits include Capital E’s ‘Kiwi Moon’ (2015), hosting for Embassy Theatre’s ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ (2016-2020), and ‘WEiRdO’ (2017/2018). William has worked as designer for theatre practitioners around New Zealand, Scotland and New York, and was awarded a Masters of Arts Creative Writing (Scriptwriting) from Victoria University in 2016.

Sabrina is a theatre-maker, actor and singer who loves to creates theatral experiences outside of the theatre. She traverses many styles from theatrical bike tours to plays in gardens to intimate shows in her home. From touring musicals to kids shows to popping up in Hugo Grrrl events including Naked Girls Reading, Cool Story Bro and reffing Pun Battles - she cannot wait to delight unsuspecting Wellingtonians in this year's Performance Arcade!
